Drew Buckingham, human resources coordinator from Cary Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cary, North Carolina, makes a large batch of these treats for special events. The treats are appreciated both at home and in the care center!
Ingredients:
3 bags of marshmallows
16 oz. of rice crispy cereal
1 stick of butter
1+ bags of shareable-sized M&Ms (I use Caramel M&Ms)
Directions:
Melt the butter in a large pot, over medium heat on the stove.
Add the marshmallows, one bag at a time, melting each bag before adding the next.
Turn off the heat and slowly add the rice crispy cereal to the pot. Be sure to gently stir while you are adding the cereal, to ensure the mixture is well-combined.
After mixing in the rice crispies, start adding the M&Ms, and continue to stir.
Press the mixture into a few pans or a deep casserole dish that has been coated with non-stick spray.
Use aluminum foil, also coated with non-stick spray, to flatten out the top of the treats.
Then, cut into shareable squares and enjoy!
