Sarah Nelson from Consulate’s corporate office in Atlanta shares her Stuffed Pepper recipe in the Consulate Family Cookbook. Sarah says that the recipe is easy to prepare and is a crowd favorite. When her family attends a group gathering, this is their go-to recipe.

Ingredients

1 bag baby bell peppers

1 lb. ground Italian sausage (the tube is perfect)

1 8 oz. bar cream cheese

Balsamic glaze for garnish

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a pan, cook the sausage and the cream cheese together until sausage is cooked and mixture is creamy.

Remove stems from peppers, then slice lengthwise and remove seeds to form small boats.

Fill peppers with a spoonful of the sausage mixture and place on a baking sheet.

Drizzle balsamic glaze on the filled peppers.

Bake for 20 minutes or until peppers are soft.
