The Palms Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center has completed a deficiency-free survey from the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA). The survey is an indication that the center complies with the state’s quality and safety regulations.

To receive this qualification, state officials evaluate the community and staff during an unannounced survey conducted throughout the course of five to six days. During this inspection, some of the points assessed include quality of care, performance of safety practices, medication management, hygiene and cleanness, food services, and more.

According to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), only 9.2% of senior living centers in the country earn a deficiency-free designation every year. This ensures that the services provided by the center and its skilled staff are of the highest quality.

“It makes me very proud that our staff’s hard work has been recognized,” says Nancy McGoldrick, Executive Director for The Palms Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Nancy also states that all the staff and managers are delighted to receive this recommendation.

This survey designation is an essential tool in identifying what centers are performing at their highest level. It is also an important way of understanding how communities are operating according to the state’s standards and providing valuable care and quality of life to its residents.

At The Palms Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, we strive to provide our residents and their families with the best services at all times. We are joyful to receive a deficiency-free survey designation as we continue to provide high-quality services and compassionate care.
