Terri Hampton’s dad always made sausage balls for the family during fall football season, and Terri still makes them for her husband now when they snuggle on the couch to watch OU football.  It brings back good memories, they are easy to make, and they taste delicious! Terri is the director of workforce management at Consulate Health Care.

Ingredients:

2 lbs. ground breakfast sausage (you can do mild or mix a mild with a spicy for a little kick)

2 cups grated cheese

4 cups of pre-mixed baking mix (like Bisquick)

Directions:

Combine all the ingredients in a big bowl and use your hands to mix.

Roll into 1 inch balls and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Terri likes to let them cook until they get crusty on the bottom.

Serve and enjoy!
