Four Consulate Health Care centers recently received a Deficiency Free 2021 Annual State Survey. Consulate Health Care of West Altamonte, Consulate Health Care New Port Richey, Luther Ridge at Seiders Hill, and The Palms Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center received this recognition as an indication that the center complies with the state’s quality and safety regulations. This qualification reflects their hard work and commitment to providing quality services to our residents.

To be given this qualification, state officials evaluate the care centers during unannounced visits. They assess the community throughout the course of five to six days. During this time, officials determine the quality of care, performance of safety practices, medication management, hygiene and cleanness, food services, and more. They interview staff and review records to evaluate compliance with regulations.

“The team at our center is extremely proud to receive this recognition,” said Dan Frenden, Executive Director at Consulate of New Port Richey. “These results show perseverance and hard work do pay off,” he added, referring to the commitment to excellence that the staff at the center has shown. By providing quality services with compassion, honesty, and integrity, the care center achieved this qualification.

Only 9.2% of senior living centers across the country earn a deficiency-free designation every year, according to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). This ensures that the services provided by the center are of the highest quality, reflecting the hard work and commitment of its skilled staff and administrators.

Malory Ruprecht, Executive Director at The Palms Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, attributed their success to “being quick to action when identifying problem areas, whether it be a PIP, education, documentation, etc. Also, by always putting the residents first. Everyone here has a big heart and refers to the team as ‘The Palms Dream Team,’” she said.

The four care centers recipients of the deficiency-free survey are proud to be recognized for their efforts and commitment to performing at their highest level. Congratulations to the teams at Consulate Health Care of West Altamonte, Consulate Health Care New Port Richey, Luther Ridge at Seiders Hill, and The Palms Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
