Chickpeas are also called garbanzo beans and are loaded with protein, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Cameron Shiflett suggests roasting them in the oven for a healthy snack.

Ingredients:

2 cans garbanzo beans (chickpeas)

Spray can of coconut oil

1 tsp. salt

1/2 tsp. pepper

1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

1 tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp. ground ginger

Method:

Drain and rinse the garbanzo beans. Lay them out on paper towels and pat dry. Preheat the oven to 400℉. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Place beans on the baking sheet. Spray with coconut oil in a sweeping motion for about 2 seconds. Season with cayenne pepper, garlic powder, ground ginger, salt, and pepper. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes. Let cool for 10-15 minutes.

Happy snacking!
