As we celebrate National Nurse’s Week this year, we are delighted to be led by our dynamic Chief Nursing Officer, Andi Clark. Andi has personally written the letter below, which was sent to all of our Clinical Ambassadors. Our caregiving employees are the heart of what we do, serving as role models as they embody our five Core Values – Compassion, Honesty, Integrity, Respect and Passion. We could not be more proud to honor our compassionate caregivers, and are very thankful for Andi’s leadership. “Culture of Safety. It Starts With You”
To: Consulate Nurses From: Andi Clark, CNO Every year Nurse’s Week is celebrated beginning May 6th and ending May 12th, Florence Nightingale’s birthday. Florence is credited as the founder of the profession of nursing in the 1900’s. Nursing has come a long way since then! According to a recent Gallup survey, “Nursing is the most trusted profession in the United States with respondents rating nurses highest for honesty and respect”. The American Nurses Association theme, “Culture of Safety. It starts with you” reminds us that providing safe patient care must be our focus every day. Please take a moment this week to remember why you chose to be a nurse. Think about your first patient when you were a nursing student…I remember mine. Think about how proud you were when you received your nursing school pin. Remember the patients who thrived under your care and went home and the patients you cared for that did not go home. Think about the smiles and hugs you have received from your patients. When I visit our centers, I am humbled by our nurses’ hard work and their commitment to the patients they serve. I am so proud of all of our Consulate Nurses and I want you to be proud of being a Consulate Nurse. Consulate Nurses represent Knowledge, Compassion and Integrity. You are the best!
