Madeline Trybus, from Consulate Health Care’s  Corporate Communications department, submitted a favorite breakfast recipe.

Ingredients

6 slices of whole wheat bread, cubed

6 egg whites

1 roll Jimmy Dean Sage Sausage or Turkey Sausage

2 cups shredded Colby Jack cheese

2 cups milk

Salt & Pepper

 Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Brown turkey sausage in separate frying pan, then drain and set aside.
  3. Beat egg whites, then mix in milk, cheese, turkey sausage and salt & pepper to taste.
  4. Once bread has been cubed, slowly work it into egg mixture by folding together the ingredients. Do not pour all of the bread in at once, as the point is to soak each cubed piece generously with egg mixture.
  5. Use glass baking dish to empty completed mixture into. If desired, you may add extra cheese to top off the dish – however, this is not necessary.
  6. Bake casserole at 350° for 45 minutes.
