The past year brought all of us many challenges and, most importantly, the need to change and adapt. At Consulate Health Care, one of the many ways we adapted was by hosting our first-ever virtual Leadership Conference in February 2021. The hard work put into this project lead to this being one of the most informational and engaging conferences Consulate has ever held. Alongside the company’s CEO, Chris Bryson, the team led three days of educational sessions with the main theme being “The Power of Zero.” We are overwhelmingly proud of all the team members that put this event together and offered various interactive and relevant experiences to the attendees.
During this year’s event, Consulate recognized employees for their dedication and commitment to our mission. One of the awards this year was the Rob Hanson Memorial Leadership Award, in remembrance of Rob Hanson, Consulate Health Care’s Mid-Atlantic Division President who sadly passed away in July of 2020 after a short, unexpected battle with cancer.
This award is given to an employee who demonstrates extraordinary leadership, and even in difficult situations, drives exceptional, balanced results. The recipient is a servant leader who puts employees at ease with vulnerability and encourages and accepts diverse views. This is someone who is engaged and present in every conversation, models usefulness by removing obstacles, and endears all with authentic passion.
This years’ Rob Hanson Memorial Leadership Award winner was Ann Quinnan, Regional Vice President of Operations for Pennsylvania. Ann’s extraordinary work during the COVID-19 pandemic stood out in many ways. While serving her team with compassion, she worked collaboratively with other leaders and staff to face the pandemic ensuring safety across her multiple centers. She always exercised effective, open and direct communication and helped build a COVID-19 management strategy distributed across her region’s care centers.
One of the many talents Ann brought to the table when she joined Consulate Health Care in 2012 was her ability to lead. Ann’s continuous commitment to her staff is one of the many ways she showcases her leadership skills with excellence.
She values her team’s hard work and their willingness to always help one another with a positive attitude. “I am blessed to be part of this team. I can’t emphasize enough that whenever I need help, I know they will come and help me,” said Ann about the tightness of the team.
Receiving the Rob Hanson Memorial Leadership was very emotional for many people watching the conference. After a year filled with challenges and changes, it was a pleasure to celebrate Ann’s accomplishments and dedication. Ann was delighted to receive such an important award.
It is an honor to have someone as authentic and passionate as Ann as a part of the Consulate family. We are joyous to be able to celebrate her during this year’s virtual conference. Ann, thank you for being a fantastic leader and an example of compassion to all of Consulate Health Care’s employees.
