Providing Quality Care with Respect and Passion for Over a Decade

Pamela Wheeler has worked at Ashland Nursing and Rehab for over ten years. She is currently a Certified Nursing Assistant and Transportation Coordinator at the care center, but, even outside of her regular duties, she never misses a beat when it comes to assisting any of our residents. She is a valuable member of Ashland’s team, and is truly committed to providing quality care to all the residents and families.

Her coworkers value the positive attitude she brings with her to work every day. She treats all her residents, families, and colleagues with tremendous respect. Pam, as her coworkers know her, explains that every day when she comes into the care center, she chooses to be happy and spread positivity, inspiring those around her. Leanne Kampmann, Executive Director at the care center, says, “Pamela never misses a beat when it comes to assisting residents, staff or anyone in need.”

Ashland Nursing and Rehab is the first long-term care center Pamela has worked for since becoming a CNA. She explains that being able to help the residents is what motivates her every day. “I am here to help them, and I like doing that,” she added.  With her role as a CNA and Transportation Coordinator, Pamela can assist the residents in many ways, from health checks, activities, events to taking them to all medical appointments and back.

With over a decade of experience, Pamela genuinely loves what she does at the care center. She understands that not everything is easy in the long-term care field, and there are many challenges, but enjoying her job and knowing residents are being well cared for makes it all worth it. At the care center, Pamela also enjoys being able to spend time with her colleagues. “I get along with everyone here. One of the things I like the most about being here is the team,” she said.

The Consulate family is incredibly honored to have members as passionate as Pamela. During the past ten years, she has provided quality care with her heart and hands to numerous residents. While treating everyone with respect and performing every task with passion and integrity, she has become a critical part of Ashland Nursing and Rehab’s team. Thank you for everything you do, Pamela!
