Consulate Health Care is proud to employ outstanding leaders who demonstrate tireless dedication to their jobs. Pamela Whorley, who is the Director of Clinical Services at Envoy of Staunton, is a perfect example of this dedication. Whorley, who began her career at Envoy of Staunton as a certified nursing assistant, progressively advanced her nursing education and experience and is now a registered nurse, overseeing the clinical care of the 170-bed center. She was selected by her peers and was named Director of Nursing of the Year by the Virginia Health Care Association after exhibiting dedicated service to the community, her staff, as well as the patients, residents, and families entrusted to her care.
In 2014, Whorley became the Director of Clinical Services at Envoy of Staunton while assisting in the training of a clinical director at a sister center. Her efforts were divided between the two centers, but she still made time to prepare her center for its annual regulatory survey, far exceeding the expectations of her position. “I am humbled by Pamela’s dedication to long-term care and what she does every day to improve the lives of the residents in her facility,” said Keith Hare, president and CEO of VHCA, in a press release.
“She is well known for her caring approach with residents, her patient temperament with her staff, and a high level of commitment to her center,” said VHCA officials. Whorley was recognized at the annual VHCA/VCAL Awards Banquet in September. You can read more about Pamela Whorley’s accomplishments here.
