A 5-star CMS Rating

New Port Richey, Florida (May 18, 2017) – Consulate Health Care of New Port Richey, a 120-bed skilled nursing center located in New Port Richey, FL, has achieved a five-star CMS rating. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) created the Five-Star Quality Rating System to help families and caregivers compare post-acute providers more easily. CMS uses an overall scale of one to five stars, and a separate rating for each of the following three sources of information: Health Inspection ratings that contain information from the last three years of onsite inspections, including standard surveys and complaint surveys; Staffing which is rated on the number of hours of care on average provided every day, by nursing staff, to each resident and their level of need; and lastly, the Quality Measures rating which evaluates information on eleven different physical and clinical measures for patients and residents.
